This was so incredibly popular that unauthorised versions of The Pickwick Papers began popping up and Chapman \u0026amp; Hall eventually published the series.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular edition was the 1868 illustrated version in a half leather bound binding. The page edges are have a marble effect and unfortunately does show foxing throughout along with two owners notes, one a pair of initials and the second an owners name as shown. The spine is in good condition overall, however the cover has met with a spill at some stage showing damage on one side. The pages do seem to be intact even if there are a few loose as seen from the side angle.
