‘Little Penthouse’ is a drypoint etching created by Martin Lewis in 1931, a very commercially successful artist, ‘Little Penthouse’ was created in what is widely identified as his peak. His work showing everyday tasks and working people of New York through the 1920s and 1930s captures the often accidental beauty in these moments.

The inscription written by the artist reads ‘To Bill Flannery with all good wishes May 5th/47’ and is included on every reproduction of his work. This particular postcard was produced by The British Museum and is in good condition with no major marks or tears. The card measures at approximately 15cm by 10.5cm.
