A collection of mini biographies of some of the greatest composers in history, including their personalities, accomplishments and life events. An example of some of the artists included are Frédéric Chopin, Arcangelo Corelli and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
The writing is well researched and charming, giving life to figures often only characterised by their accomplishments. This particular edition was published in 1943 by Grosset & Dunlap in New York.
Along the way, this book has lost company with its dust jacket however its hardcover has protected its interior well with no owners markings or signs of major foxing. The title to the spine has been worn with marks to the exterior cover as shown in the photos but overall a lovely little book measuring at approximately 13 by 9cm.
