You can never go wrong with a classic, and blue and white china is truly timeless! This particular teacup is a gorgeous pure white with a transferred traditional willow pattern in blue. The handle is a gorgeous spiral design, really unique which flows elegantly into the shape of the cup.

The ‘Willow’ pattern has a long standing history with so many of our main historic potteries throughout time. It has the Grimwade Atlas China stamp to the base, dating this set between 1930-1936, also when transferware was really picking up in popularity.

Overall it is in good condition with no chips or cracks and measures at approximately 14cm in diameter for the saucer and 9cm in diameter for the cup. As is typical for transferware, there are marks of transfer to the bottom of the cup and flecks throughout. This hand applied process however is one of the most beautiful things about it however!
