What a distinguished gentleman! This beautifully hand carved figurine is made from a dark wood with a dark black colour stain overlay. Depicting a rice farmer carrying two sacks in a style typically found in Asia, the angles cut a striking look for your mantlepiece or bookshelf!
The craftsmanship is lovely to behold on its own but the obvious history to this piece is shown through the wear to the stained patina with some of the wood grain colour showing through. He also, at some point, carried a tool to help him with his work however this has been lost at some time. He measures at approximately 19cm in total height.
