Postcards are often a brilliant way to add something special to your walls in smaller spaces or to utilise within a gallery wall. This particular postcard is a landscape of the chair lift in M. Mansfield, Smugglers Notch in Vermont, America. The first chair lift in the east of America was built in 1940, this one was built shortly after to supplement. Designed as a double lift, it was meant to carry 1350 skiers per hour over 20 different runs.
It measures at approximately 14cm in total length and 9cm in width and overall is in good condition for its age. The card itself seems to be a fabric mix texture and has been inscribed to a Jonah Klein on the back. It is a lovely example of kitsch advertising however and a lovely memento idea if you have been to this part of the world!
