‘Bird and Lotus’ is an ink and colour painting by Chinese artist Li Kuchan (1899-1983). Li Kuchan was very well-known for his freehand bird and flowers art style which he linked with a skill in calligraphy. This style easily makes each piece very unique but with a strong sense of style which immediately makes his works recognisable.
This particular postcard reproduction was produced by Henry Stone & Son Ltd, a printer and furniture make in Banbury and is in good condition with no tears and only one bend to a corner with slight white marks to the far left hand as shown. The card measures at approximately 15cm by 10.5cm.
