A beautifully crafted vintage tea cosy, hand embroidered in needlepoint with a striking folk-art style design. One side features two stylised birds in olive green facing a central floral motif in deep rose tones. The reverse displays a bold zigzag pattern in warm reds, pinks and golden yellow. Inside, the cosy is fully lined with rich red satin, adding both insulation and a luxurious finish.
This is a substantial, well-made piece that feels decorative as well as practical. Perfect for keeping a teapot warm, or simply as a charming accent for an open shelf, dresser, or country kitchen. Overall it is in excellent condition with no majors marks or pulls to the embroidery, though there are minor marks to the interior as shown. It measures at approximately 30cm in total width and 23cm from top to bottom.
