A pair of black soapstone bookends carved in the shape of a pair of lions complete with tooth filled grin. The perfect guardians for your precious tomes, they have an excellent weight, therefore they will happily stay in place.
Overall they measure at approximately 7cm in total height therefore are a low height bookend and won’t overshadow your books and 14cm long. They have kept themselves in good condition overall with the only major sign of damage being a small crack at the back of one bookend as shown in the photos. Otherwise they are signs of wear from use over time as shown, adding to their charm.
